What is a Stop Snoring Jaw Strap? The jaw strap is an apparatus that wraps behind your head and ears and keeps your mouth shut. This may not be the best solution for those who have problems breathing through their nose. Otherwise this product is number one popular solution for mouth snorers. Mouth snoring is very common and happens because your mouth opens in your sleep causing you to breathe through your mouth and not through your nose, as you’re supposed to, leading to snoring.
What causes mouth snoring? When you sleep on your back, there are several reasons why you might snore. One of them is your tongue becoming relaxed and falling into the back of your throat, causing an obstruction. Another reason is when you sleep with your mouth open, the air comes into your mouth and goes directly into the back of your throat, creating the vibrations that lead to the traditional snoring sounds. Stop Snoring Jaw Strap prevents snoring in both cases by keeping your mouth shut.

“Effective snore stopper, but takes time to get used to! I thought I’d I take a few minutes and do a little write up about my experience with this jaw strap… to help other snorers out there… as I definitely needed some guidance when I was looking for a solution….you are welcome!
A little bit a about me–5’11 in height and 195 pounds. I’m 42 years married with 2 kids and a beautiful and very patient wife! I have been a heavy snorer since my mid 20s when I gained a bit of weight which seems to have stayed for good (unfortunately). I tried a few things out there – mouthpiece, nose cones, special pillows… not much effect. I have started using the jaw strap a few month back and now wear it every night.
Jaw Strap Effectiveness:
It is definitely effective! Especially if you are what they call a mouth-snorer like myself. My wife observed my sleep and snoring and she noticed that my jaw drops open and the monstrous snoring starts… almost every night. The strap keeps my jaw up and mouth closed… thus no snoring.
I’d say25-30$ is worth a try.. especially considering some custom mouthpieces can cost up to 200-300$. I have also seen other jaw straps sold on some websites for $100+.
It might be tough to get used. My face and I’m sure your face is not used to restraint so it took mearound 5-6 daysto get used to. A few times I woke up in the morning and realized that it has fallen off. Here is a TIP: play around with the position and see what is the best tension and position at the back of your head so that it stays in place. ALSO, the instruction pictures shows that you need to put your ears thorough the holes in the strap, but I found that it actually stays in place better when you position it in front of the years… I guess every head shape is different… go figure.” Posted by Kenneth Hatcher, Canada
“Clever invention! I bought this for my flatmate who has breathing difficulties, I have tried to get him to try all sorts of things but they’re usually quiet expensive or ineffective. The snoring is so severe and I can usually hear it from my room. At first he was reluctant to use it and it was a bit different just because of past experiences but I am glad to say the product works! We have both have enjoyed peaceful sleep this week. Definitely suggest that you give this a go if snoring is affecting your life. It makes a real difference.” Posted by Tolu94
